Anthony, Lopez Go to Puerto Rico for Film
Husband and wife pop stars Marc Anthony and Jennifer Lopez were due in Puerto Rico to film scenes from their new movie × a biopic on the life of salsa legend Hector Lavoe.
Anthony and Lopez, who will co-star in "El Cantante," planned to shoot scenes in historic Old San Juan and in the southern Puerto Rican city of Ponce, said Blanca LaSalle, the film's publicist. They were scheduled to work on the island until Feb. 2.
The singing and acting couple has already filmed scenes in New York.
"El Cantante," or "The Singer," is based on the life of Lavoe, who died in 1993 and is credited with helping to bring Puerto Rican salsa to the United States.
Anthony, 36, and 37-year-old Lopez, were married in June 2004.
