Comcast Presents On-Demand Bon Jovi Tour Content
Comcast is now offering behind-the-scenes video footage of Bon Jovi on their North American "Sprint Presents Have a Nice Day Tour." Fans of act are promised the chance to watch a variety of exclusives, all in the on-demand format. The exclusives include Bon Jovi getting set-up backstage in Des Moines; a small show for military personnel at Fort Monmouth; and the band making videos for two songs: "Who Says You Can't Go Home Again" and "Welcome to Wherever You Are." Both are taken of the band's recently-released Have A Nice Day album.
Marvin Davis, senior vice president of marketing at Comcast, pointed to a multi-format approach that also includes the web. "This is the first time we are partnering with an artist to offer integrated, exclusive content online and on-demand," he said. The deal is the first tie-up between the band and Comcast. "Bon Jovi is about two things: the music and our fans, explained Jon Bon Jovi. By partnering with Comcast, we get to break new ground together and provide the ultimate on-the-road experience." Meanwhile, Comcast On Demand has seen a 135 percent spike in music video requests over the past few months. Specifically, requests have jumped from 14 million in February to 33 million last month. The online Music Channel lets customers watch videos using the company's broadband video player, called Music Fan.
