Charlatans eye spring 'Simpatico' release
The Charlatans will bow their ninth studio album, "Simpatico" in April, it has been revealed.
The British indie group have spend much of 2005 recording the new set with producer Jim Lowe (Stereophonics) at Oxfordshire's prestigious Hook End Manor Studios and, writing recently on the band's official website, drummer Jon Brookes says the record has a live feel.
"The sound or vibe of the record is very true to the band, in as much as this time we've recorded the whole group together live. This in my opinion has made the band sound harmonious and it's very strange that after so many records, to have chosen this, the oldest of techniques."
"Simpatico" will hit shops from April 10th and be led by a single "Blackened Blue Eyes" on April 3.
