Timberlake album progressing, ÑJawbreakers' in flow
Justin Timberlake is working with the Black Eyed Peas' Will.i.am and hip-hop production lord Timbaland on his second album, it has been revealed.
Rick Rubin (Red Hot Chili Peppers, Johnny Cash) was the first producer confirmed for Timberlake's hugely-anticipated second album, the follow-up to 2002's "Justified", hinting at a new direction for the pop star, and with the eclectic addition of will.i.am and Timberland, the set looks a mouth-watering prospect.
Speaking to Billboard.com, will.i.am says the 24-year-old has come back with a sound that goes beyond classification:
"I can't explain it, that's how dope it is," he says. "He just surprised me again. I was surprised that I was even going to like Justin Timberlake. Then he turned me into a fan, and I've become a fan. That means you are so talented that you are changing people's vocabulary. Hat's off, skull off and scalp."
will.i.am's collaboration with Timberlake has even progressed into a musical partnership he labels 'Jawbreakers'.
"It stands for Justin and Will breaks", he adds. "It's Justin and I's production team when we do things together. We did half of Justin's record and some songs on Macy Gray's new album."
Timberlake originally worked with the Black Eyed Peas' emcee on the hip-hop/pop acts' breakthrough hit "Where Is The Love".
